It’s Kafka’s 2 year adoptaversary! 💛⁣ Today, two years ago, I met Kafka for the very first time. The day before I found his shelter ad on the Dutch animal rescue website: www.ikzoekbaas.nl (I’m looking for an owner.) His ad said that Kafka was a cat with a big personality. I phoned in straight away to adopt him. I just knew he and I were meant to be. The next day I took a 2,5 hour train to the animal shelter. He ran towards me as soon as I entered.⁣ It wasn’t until September 20th until I could take him home. He still needed dental surgery and there were some complications. He was in bad shape when I adopted him: he suffered from chronic diarrhea, vomiting and weight loss. His coat was a mess and most of his teeth had to be extracted. ⁣ Now, two years later, he’s doing so much better! His food allergies are under control, so are his blood pressure and gums. Things will always be a bit rocky health wise, but he has really flourished. ⁣ I’ve never met a cat like Kafka, ever. He has such a strong vivid personality and he brings so much joy to everyone around him. I love you so much, Kafka. Thank you for sharing your life with me. Here’s to many, many more years together 💛

🎲 What kind of accent would your cats have if they were human, and why?⁣ ⁣ Kafka has a very low and croaky voice, so we settled on him talking like a Russian pirate 🏴‍☠️ (Is there even such a thing as a Russian pirate?)⁣ Anakin is obsessed with bread and cheese, and I believe he would speak English with a heavy French accent 🥖🧀

Love is in the air —> swipe for more 💛 Tag someone you could snuggle with all day 😻⁣ ⁣ Kafka and Penny are some serious snuggle buddies. Usually one of them flops on the floor and calls (a talkative meow) the other one to join in. Nobody puts Kafka in the corner 😾⁣ ⁣ —⁣ I’m having issues with my external hard disk, so I’m not able to edit new photos for a couple of days. (Until I get a new one basically.) Thank you for 58K!⁣ ⁣ When we took an Instagram break earlier this year we went from 58K to below 57K. Don’t let losing followers and numbers stop you from taking breaks when needed.
